William B. Van Vleet III is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and has been a director of Applied Signal Technology, Inc. since August 2008. Prior to his selection as CEO in August 2008, he served as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Van Vleet joined the company in July 2005 as Executive Vice President of the Sensor Signal Processing Group in connection with the Company's acquisition of Dynamics Technology, Inc. Mr. Van Vleet was President and CEO of Dynamics Technology, Inc. from 2002 to July 2005. Prior to that time, Mr. Van Vleet completed a 22-year career with The Boeing Company, where he led a division addressing the defense and intelligence community with programs in communications, maritime surveillance and information warfare systems. He also served as President of the Boeing subsidiary ARGOSystems, Inc. Mr. Van Vleet has over 30 years of experience in the defense industry and is a two-time recipient of the National Management Association Manager-of-the-Year, the Rockwell Chairman's Award, and Hughes Engineer-of-the-Year award. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).

Mark M. Andersson joined the Company in July 2009 as Chief Operating Officer. He joined the Company from the Harris Corporation, where he served as the Vice President of Propriety Programs in the National Programs business unit of Harris Government Communication Systems Division. Mr. Andersson had over 25 years of experience at Harris developing state-of-the-art technology and turnkey system solutions for ground-and space-based applications for multiple customers within the intelligence and law enforcement communities. Over his career, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of business development, systems engineering, and program management. Mr. Andersson held multiple leadership positions overseeing strategic planning and operations of lines of business serving the intelligence community with yearly sales ranging from $50 million to $300 million. Mr. Andersson has participated in the Harris WIN Government Systems (WINGS) management development program and is the recipient of numerous exemplary leadership awards. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).

Mr. Doyle is the Chief Financial Officer of Applied Signal Technology, Inc. Prior to his election as CFO in March 2000, Mr. Doyle held progressively more responsible positions at the company, including the Director of Finance and the Manager of Contracts and Price Estimating. Before joining Applied Signal Technology, Mr. Doyle was employed at ARGOSystems, Inc. as Contracts Manager for the U.S. Systems Segment, and at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in a variety of financial and supervisory roles and was awarded the Superior Performance Award while employed there. Mr. Doyle participates in a variety of professional and industry related organizations.

Dr. Treichler, a co-founder of the Company, has been a director of and employed by the Company since its incorporation in January, 1984. His present position with the Company is Chief Technology Officer. Prior to co-founding the Company, he worked at ARGOSystems Inc. for seven years, serving as a senior scientist in the Strategic Systems Division, and at Stanford University for three years in the Information Systems Laboratory.

Mr. Baciocco is Vice President of Corporate Business Development at Applied Signal Technology, Inc. As an accomplished leader in ISR strategy and business development, Mr. Baciocco has more than 10 years of experience in strategic planning, capture management, opportunity identification, and large program pursuits. Prior to joining Applied Signal Technology in August 2009, Mr. Baciocco served as Vice President of Business Development for Ericsson Federal Inc. (EFI). Prior to EFI, Mr. Baciocco worked for SAIC in business development for military and commercial satellite communications, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, intelligence systems and networks, and space programs. Mr. Baciocco was also a career Naval Officer, with assignments in the operational and acquisition communities, the offices of the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Space, and the National Reconnaissance Office. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).

Mr. Roscher has been the Executive Vice President of the Broadband Communication Systems (BCS) Division since 2006. In his twenty plus years at Applied Signal Technology, Mr. Roscher has served in many roles from software development, system and corporate engineering, program management, and ultimately, senior management. Prior to joining the Company in 1987, Mr. Roscher enjoyed a twelve-year career at the National Security Agency. He was the manager for the Advanced Signal Processing Division. Mr. Roscher also served as project engineer and system designer in Frankfurt, West Germany, where he built quick reaction processing solutions to solve a wide variety of special signal needs for U.S. Military sites throughout Europe.

Dr. Joseph Leonelli joined the Company in July 2005 as Vice President of the Homeland Defense Division in connection with the Company's acquisition of Dynamics Technology, Inc. He was selected as the Vice President of the Wireless Communication Systems Division in November 2005, which was renamed and reorganized as the Intelligence and Electronic Systems Division during 2008. Prior to his service at Dynamics Technology and Applied Signal Technology, Inc., Dr. Leonelli held multiple leadership positions at General Dynamics, Veridian Corporation, and the Battelle Memorial Institute. Dr. Leonelli brings over 25 years of defense industry experience in the management of complex research, development, test, and engineering programs for the Department of Defense and intelligence community. During his first career, Dr. Leonelli was an officer in the United States Army and was assigned to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He continued military service in the United States Army Reserves and retired in 2006 as a Colonel. Dr. Leonelli serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Security Technologies at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and the Advance Technical Intelligence Association (ATIA).

Dr. John F. Pesaturo, Jr. joined the Company in July 2005 as Vice President of the Ocean Systems Division in connection with the Company's acquisition of Dynamics Technology, Inc. During 2008, this division was renamed and reorganized as the Sensor Systems Division. Prior to his service at Dynamics Technology and Applied Signal Technology, Inc., Dr. Pesaturo held multiple leadership positions at Lockheed Federal Systems and Westinghouse's Ocean Division (later Northrop Grumman). Dr. Pesaturo is a distinguished executive with over 28 years of defense industry experience in engineering and management of high technology products and systems for the aerospace and defense market. He has broad experience in business management, research and development, program management, system engineering, and sonar design applied to the fields of anti-submarine warfare (ASW), mine countermeasures (MCM), and maritime surveillance and reconnaissance. He is a member of the Navy League of the United States, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and has published on the topic of synthetic aperture sonar in several publications.

Roger W. Anderson joined Applied Signal Technology on October 27, 2009, as Vice President of Network Intelligence. Mr. Anderson has over 28 years of experience in program and customer relationship management, strategic planning, program development, and systems engineering. Most recently, Mr. Anderson served as Senior Executive Account Manager for the Intelligence Community business area of Harris Government Communications Systems Division, a supplier of enabling technology and custom communications system solutions for intelligence community customers and pursuits. Before joining Harris in 2006, Mr. Anderson was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mnemonics, Inc., a private defense electronics firm. Mr. Anderson retired as a senior executive from the Central Intelligence Agency in 2002 after 15 years of service. Mr. Anderson received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal for contributions to the CIA's mission and the NSA Exceptional Civilian Service Award, the highest merit award granted by the NSA. He is the member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).
