Christine,
Engineer
Santa Clara University
I first learned about Applied Signal Technology when I attended an Open House at its Sunnyvale site. At the time, I was working towards completing my Master's degree in Computer Engineering and was hoping to join a company where my responsibilities would be challenging, interesting and, if I am really lucky, exciting. A talk given by the CTO, John Treichler at the Open House convinced me that the engineers at Applied Signal enjoyed just that! I had the opportunity to meet some of the employees and soon learned that they found a great deal of satisfaction in what they did. After working at Applied Signal for five months and seeing the tremendous opportunity I have to develop my engineering skills, I feel confident that I made the right choice when I decided to work for this company.
As a Bay Area native I am glad that by working and living here, I can enjoy the many wonderful things it has to offer. I love spending the day in San Francisco or Monterey, running on the trails at Rancho San Antonio, or enjoying a nice dinner at Santana Row. In the summer it is always fun to spend the day at the beach or visit the driving range. It really is wonderful to work and play in the Bay Area! And working here at Applied Signal on most days feels more like play than work; it has been an experience that every new grad should have: challenging, exciting, and a great deal of fun.
