I enjoy Applied Signal for several reasons. I really like the small company feel at the Utah office, which also enjoys the support of the corporate offices in Sunnyvale. This small company feel allows me to use my skills in a variety of areas and not feel pigeonholed in one small line of work. Throughout my schooling, I enjoyed communications, signal processing as well as digital design applications and found just what I wanted to begin my career at Applied Signal. I have enjoyed internships at several large companies that were involved in what I might call the commodities markets. At Applied Signal, I get to do work that is more than a commodity because the work at Applied Signal contributes to the safety and security of our country and our allies. This brings a sense of pride to the work place that I didn't feel at other companies.

I am a small town boy at heart and enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing (in all seasons like ice-fishing), camping, wake-boarding and snow boarding. I also follow sports and like to play basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and a little golf now and then.

I've found Applied Signal to be good place to go where I want to in my career. I've been able to start right out of the gates with meaningful work. I can see this project through the whole process and be a part of it from start to finish. And if I get hung up on anything, it's easy to find answers being a part of a group of very friendly, talented and skilled engineers. I think Applied Signal is a very good place to be.
