Jeff,
Engineer
Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo
After working in several internships during school, I realized what I really wanted in an employer. First, I wanted to find a company located in the Bay Area so that I could stay close to family and friends. I have always felt that the Bay Area is one of the most interesting and scenic places in California. Secondly, I wanted to work for a company that provided a fast paced and challenging work environment. Third, I wanted my employer to not only to utilize the skills I already possessed, but to support and encourage me to develop new skill sets. Last on my list, I wanted to find a company that had a positive mentality, and viewed its employees as part of the team. I found all this and more at Applied Signal.
When I interviewed with Applied Signal, I was thoroughly impressed by the relaxed yet professional attitude of the company. Everyone I talked to was friendly and outgoing. I felt right at home, even during the interview. The Company's location in Sunnyvale made it ideally situated for me. Once I began working, I was immediately placed on a project that both complemented and challenged my abilities in software design and development. Not only that, but the project that is fun and interesting too.
Outside the office, my personal interests include soccer, running, reading, making stained glass windows, listening to rock/classical music, and astronomy.
