Attendees Meet Executive Management Team and Gain Insight into the Company's Operations

 

SUNNYVALE, California, March 22, 2010 – Applied Signal Technology, Inc. (AST) (NASDAQ: APSG), a market leader in advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions, held its first investor day on Friday, March 19, 2010, to discuss the company’s operations, competitive discriminators, market opportunities, financial performance, and long-term strategy, in conjunction with hosting a tour of its new media center. The event was held at AST’s corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA and attended by financial analysts and investment managers.

 

The event provided attendees an opportunity to meet with AST’s executive management team and gain insight into the company’s competitive discriminators to expand its position in the ISR segment of the defense, intelligence, and homeland security markets. Company executives hosted a series of presentations and demonstrations on the theme "Applied Signal Technology: Delivering Mission-Critical Solutions, Enhancing Global Security."


Presenters included William B. Van Vleet, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark M. Andersson, Chief Operating Officer, James E. Doyle, Chief Financial Officer, and Dr. John R. Treichler, Chief Technology Officer. Additionally, the AST management team presented demonstrations of its core capabilities, including sensor surveillance, tactical signals intelligence (SIGINT), broadband communications, and cyber intelligence, followed by a question and answer session.

 

William B. The event introduced a new media center showcasing the company’s legacy equipment, with video presentations of its current and future capabilities.  Mr. Van Vleet added, “Our new media center provides a continuing opportunity to engage and educate customers, partners, and investors about our company, the products and services we offer, and an insight into how we have evolved over the years into what we are today―a full-service ISR provider and one of the nation’s leaders in low size, weight, and power defense electronics.”
