Signal Technology, Inc. is offering an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
(UAV) Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) payload for geolocation
of emitters in dense co-channel signal environments. This
UAV SIGINT payload consists of a combined Communications
Intelligence (COMINT) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT)
system that provides immediate access to information from
a wide variety of critical emitters from 30 MHz to 18 GHz
(with options to 40 GHz), including: military and commercial
handheld radio communications (push-to-talk); cellular communications
including rapid user identification as well as underlying
voice and data information (Cellular – PCS – WLL);
computer-based wireless data links such as Wi-Max and Wi-Fi;
ground/satellite data links that operate regionally in high
priority areas; air/surface-based surveillance and imaging
radars; LPI radars; target acquisition and fire control radars;
and beacons and jammers.
The SIGINT system,
which consists of AST’s
HYDRA COMINT suite and PEGASUS ELINT/ESM system, provides
information from these signals to allow operators to determine
signal/user activity levels, generate alarms and reports
for critical signals, copy voice and data for analysis, and
determine target signal location, emitter modes and emitter
types.
The SIGINT payload can then rapidly disseminate
this time critical information to the NET or directly to
local area commanders.
The system provides the capability to cue
optical and targeting sensors to gather visual data for target
confirmation, ranging, and designation for time critical
guidance during aggressor actions.
