Model 113A Voice Channel Demodulator
Autotasking – Autotasking is available for fax signals, dialup modem signals, and leaseline modem and VFT signals. Most TDM and FDM VFT signal formats are supported
Signals Processed – The Model 113A is capable of simultaneous processing of the following signal types:
Leaseline Modem: Modem signals include V.22, V.26, V.27, V.29, and V.33. Demodulation algorithms and ASCII configuration files are compatible with PROMOD. Channels can be tasked for autorate or fixed rate demodulation. Autorate operation determines the data rate of the modem during acquisition and tracks modem stepup/fallback during demodulation
VFT: TDM VFT signals include R.101A and R.101B partitions on any modem signal demodulated. FDM VFT signals include R.35, R.36, R.37, R.38A, R.38B, R.39, V.21, V.23, Bell 102, Bell 202, and other user-definable FSK signals
Fax: Fax signals include G1, G2, G3V.27ter, V.17, V.21, and V.29
Dialup Modem: Formats include V.21, V.22, V.23, V.32, Bell 103, Bell 202, Bell 212, and others
X.50/X.51: X.50 and X.51 signals are demultiplexed, and the resulting partitions are processed similarly to modems
Voice: Voice timeslots can be output as formatted packets to an Ethernet socket. Options are 8-bit PCM, 4-bit ADPCM, and 2-bit ADPCM
N×64: Direct digital N×64 channels are demultiplexed and output to Ethernet sockets. An N×64 channel can be defined up to N=31, with arbitrary strapping within an E1
Inputs/Outputs – Standard input is two E1s (62 VGCs) with optional T1 inputs (48 VGCs). Data output is via Ethernet and/or RS-232 ports
Control/Status – Control and status are via Ethernet and/or RS-232. A PC DOS controller program is provided, using RS-232 for control. This program can also run under a PC emulator on a Sun Workstation, using a local RS-232 port on the workstation
Downloadable Code – All processing code is downloaded to the Model 113A from a TCP/IP network at power-up. No EPROM replacement or Model 113A chassis access is required for firmware and software upgrades
Physical – 5.25-inch-high rack-mount chassis, 40 lb
