Model 139A FDM-to-PCM Transmultiplexer

The Model 139A FDM Transmultiplexer can be used to digitize, demodulate, demultiplex, and remultiplex FDM channels from two 20-MHz baseband inputs into TDM streams carried by up to four HDB3 E3 outputs. These outputs may be connected to the E3 inputs of any CSC-based device. The Model 139A may also supply an FDM-to-TDM case notation map that can be used by the CSC-based units for proper attachment to output SRI.

Accepts two 0-19.75 MHz FDM basebands, each containing more than 3600 VGCs

Built-in channel plan identification

Demultiplexes up to 1920 voice channels taken from up to 160 FDM groups

Outputs all 1920 channels in four E3 streams conforming to CCITT Recommendation G.751

NPR of ~35 dB for 8-MHz noise-loaded FDM basebands
