PEGASUS is a high-performance and fully
automated Electronic Intelligence/Electronic Support Measures
(ELINT/ESM) family of products for military intelligence,
surveillance and reconaissance (ISR) and homeland defense
applications. This unique low size, weight, and power (SWAP)
family of products offers signal isolation, high-precision
mono-pulse direction finding (DF), and location of threats
and emitters in real time for enhanced battlefield characterization
and force protection.
PEGASUS performs automated search, measurement,
and reporting of signals from ground-based, maritime, and
airborne emitters to mission operators, allowing real-time
assessment of the tactical significance of emitters.
PEGASUS is derived from a core architecture
and includes small, adaptable ELINT and ESM suites capable
of use on unmanned air vehicles (UAV) and other unmanned
assets.
Key features of PEGASUS are wide instantaneous
search bandwidth of 320 MHz and a digital channelizer with
programmable/selectable processing bandwidths for high sensitivity,
detection, isolation, and DF of multiple simultaneous signals
occurring in the search bandwidth. The system utilizes Applied
Signal Technology’s leading-edge FPGA technology for
improved signal parameter measurement accuracy and resolution
and timely adaptation to new signal processing requirements
along with mission reconfiguration of processing for conducting
special measurements or modes. |
