DoubleTalk® Bandwidth Compression System

DoubleTalk® adaptive canceller is a patented, revolutionary technology for satellite ground equipment, which allows for each side of a single channel per carrier link to be transmitted concurrently in the same segment of transponder space. This increased bandwidth efficiency saves up to 50% of occupied bandwidth for same throughput and increased performance.

 

Paired with advanced coding and modulation technologies available in today's satellite modems, the use of DoubleTalk-enabled modems significantly reduces CAPEX and OPEX costs for service providers, while at the same time increasing link availability.

 

Composite Downlink Spectrum at Satellite

Known as DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier®, it is now in wide use in over 160 countries and available in several Comtech EF Data modems and other products. The technology has won several industry awards, including the World Teleport Associations Teleport Technology of the Year twice.
