Raytheon AST’s PROSAS® Surveyor family of synthetic aperture sonar systems provides leading-edge high-definition sonar. These modular, fully integrated systems operate in the frequency range of 60-600 kHz, producing ultra-high resolution, geo-referenced seabed imagery and 3D bathymetry. Their high-accuracy navigation, automatic target recognition and computer-aided classification capabilities make them ideal for protection against mines and improvised explosive devices at ports and harbors.

The PROSAS Surveyor Advantage

  • Ultra-high definition seabed imagery, with constant resolution across full swath
  • Superior area coverage rate, including nadir gap-filler sonar option
  • Unsurpassed shallow water performance (multipath suppression in transmit/receive modes)
  • Precisely co-registered seabed imagery and 3D bathymetry data – processed in real time
  • Interferometric bathymetry systems meet IHO and NOS standards for bathymetry
  • Can be integrated on multiple platforms, such as autonomous underwater vehicles and towfish

Applications

  • Oil and Gas Exploration
  • Seabed Survey
  • Hydrography
  • Mine Countermeasures
  • Port and Harbor Security
