WDMR Series

WDMR Series Rises to the Challenge

As one of the first to pioneer digital signal processing technology, Raytheon AST has been providing wideband digital microwave radio products for over 25 years, and understands the unique and complex challenges facing our customers. From intermediate frequency to the underlying circuit/packet data, our WDMR series provides the ultimate in flexibility, performance, and compact size, meeting today's demanding ISR applications.

Based on field programmable gate array technology coupled with a laptop running the intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interface, the WDMR series automates RF survey of wideband DMR signals by integrating high-speed data capture technology with high-performance signal recognition and demodulation software tools, producing in seconds a full characterization of the RF spectrum.

Radio-level processing analysis technology determines the programming of FPGA resources to decode, descramble, and demultiplex underlying user traffic and forward it to collection resources hosted on the laptop. This impressive capability comes packaged in a briefcase-size footprint and utilizes ultra-low power consumption technology, making the WDMR series ideal for portable operations, and yet cost effective for use in high-capacity fixed-site locations.
