A.

I have learned a lot from my senior co-workers regarding the technical and process aspects of the Software Engineering field.

 

I have been able to work in many different areas of the software development cycle from requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.

Q. What is your greatest achievement at Raytheon AST?

 

A.

Responsibility for I&T for a release that includes creating test descriptions, managing the I&T team’s schedule, and implementing test scripts.

 

 

 

Q. How did you find out about Raytheon AST?

 

A.

I found out about Raytheon AST through a job fair at Cal Poly.

 

 

 

Q. What do you like best about working for Raytheon AST?

 

A.

I like the small project teams because I am able to work with senior co-workers and learn more on the job. Also, once I demonstrated my proficiency with smaller tasks, I was given more responsibility.

 

 

 

Q. What advice would you give to people interested in starting a career at Raytheon AST?

 

A.

For Broadband Communication Systems Division, a solid programming foundation and a desire to learn are two important traits for starting a career with AST.

 

 

 

Q. What are some of your interests outside of work?

 

A.

Computer technology, traveling, working out, and cars.
