Q. What sort of programs and projects will I be working on?

Depending on your engineering discipline, you will have the opportunity to work in our various engineering divisions on engineering teams. The engineering teams work and support a program/project during the full lifecycle of the program. When the program concludes, you will have the opportunity to join another team, thereby increasing your knowledge and providing challenges to you in different technologies that we are involved in.

The company has four major engineering divisions within the company:

Broadband Communication Systems – Our broadband communication systems provides secure, high-speed communication networks to the United States Government. Our sophisticated solutions enable private networks to operate at the highest communication rates while simultaneously monitoring and scanning all channels to prevent disruptions to network quality of service. We also provide bandwidth compression technology to maximize performance for satellite communications.

Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Systems – Our advanced signals intelligence (SIGINT) solutions deliver expert capability in the collection and exploitation of wireless communication and electronic (non-communication) signals around the world. Capturing, sorting, and analyzing these increasingly complex signals is key to developing a tactical edge for our deployed forces. Our miniature, low power systems perform real-time direction finding and precision geolocation of signals of interest, by using technologies such as adaptive beamforming, coherent channel processing, and other advanced techniques. Our product portfolio includes vehicular, man-portable, airborne, remote/unattended, and system-level solutions for both passive and active missions.

Sensor Systems – We provide sophisticated sensors and digital signal processing (DSP) solutions to sense and characterize the environment for sound, light, heat, and other complex phenomena. This enables us to detect abnormalities of interest and increase situational awareness. Our space-based, airborne, terrestrial, and underwater sensor technologies include the use of real-time, low-size, weight and power DSP hardware and software to process the results of sensors and provide early indications and warnings of potential threats. We provide remote sensing solutions that incorporate sonar, radar, magnetic, electromagnetic, infrared, electro-optical, hyperspectral, and visible light sensors.

Network Intelligence - We bring a unique blend of complex signal processing (passive and active) and advanced exploitation capabilities to prosecute the cyberspace domain. Our leading-edge solutions handle the traffic and demands of today's largest broadband networks with low power consumption and size. We provide real-time network surveillance of very-high-capacity links, deep packet inspection, automated analysis, real-time data manipulation, and expert-level operational support and training. Our products and systems are complemented by a diverse range of technical services which include system engineering, service-oriented architectures, cloud computing, software development, application performance management, web portal development, data management, specialized analytical tool development, and data mining.
